For this week, my COTW is an N scale toy Southern Pacific stock car and it's actually not too badly detailed.

Dang it, Tramp! You got all the good ones! You must have caught Microbuss sleeping. I'm working until late tonight, but will soon bust you out some photos of my near mint billboards for trade (2 fer one) if you might want to let go of that Tootsie Pop.

My simple version of a skeleton log car. My Climax will need a job soon. I have some shaping and weathering to do and I need to shave down the bolsters for a lower stance.
Thanks to Alex for the Climax info!

A bit pricey! Another one was listed for $50 & did not sale.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/HO-scale-Bachmann-Hersheys-Chocolate-Mr-Goodbar-50-billboard-box-car-train-/400866234324?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item5d557d4fd4
Mine will be for sale, But heaven knows when, it is 180 miles from me now.
All the candy cars are cool!
Anyway good luck in your quest.

I didn't know Tenshodo ever made shorter-than-scale passenger cars. Must be a real early product of theirs, right? Neat!

Nice looking car, Chops - especially with the people inside and all that interior detail. Lot of work in that one.

Don't know. No part number on the box to look up. Metal. Full(ish) interior you can see through the windows. If there was a market for "shorties", I suppose they would have made lots. This is one of two that broke my 60+ year rule on owning any brass. I saw a GN Tenshodo coach or combine on evilbait a while back that looked as short. Hard to imagine folks owning big Tenshodo brass engines requiring broad radius curvature....and ponying up for a string of short passenger cars to haul behind. Dave

Just what I was thinking. Brass locos and shorty passenger cars are for two different markets... I have a personal rule against brass too, with one single exception made last summer when I encountered a Tenshodo SD24, also B&O, at an antique shop for $45, all intact except headlight lenses.
