So...someone I know gave me a kit. All these decades, never had a Pacific.

Got it deflashed and filed, painted up, chassis together. Later version (3) with worm on end of motor, but not new enough to have no bearing inserts.
Plastic cab, pilot and tender shell.
Fun doing valve gear rivets again after all these years.
I'm going to have to find another display case if this keeps up.

Krylon Satin Black. I have used others, but the supply disappeared, so this is what I use now.
I just discovered another Varney 2-8-0 in the "to do" box. Apart, cleaning now.
