I don't have one, and I can't find a picture of it either... because I can't remember who made it! A while back I saw this very unusual train set at at a show, a litt;e blue and yellow streamliner with 3-4 cars, looked remarkably like a squished-down version of the NYC Xplorer/Train X from the 50's, the very last sharknose. Mantua-Tyco? Varney? I can't find it anywhere on HOseeker or anywhere else and I don't have much to go by, but I'm going nuts trying to figure this one out! The guy selling it must have thought it was something unusual, because he had the set (in box) marked $300! Anyone have any idea what I'm talking about?
Xplorer/Train X, looks very similar

Tyco Talgo perhaps? Most (if not all) of them were blue and yellow. Not exactly worth chump change either. Google images should provide you with enough visuals to make a decision on whether or not that's it.

No doubt. And honestly, I had no idea NYC actually had one of those things.

"A lot of modellers out there who go to these train shows see broken HO stuff and go, 'This is useless' when, in reality, they can still be used for modeling whether it's as a prop on your layout or a cool project to make something old new again."

That must be it. My memory says the roof was blue as well but I'm probably mistaken thanks for the ID!
