I recently posted this on Facebook. What you see here is a project in downtown St. Louis Mo. to fill in an area that was once known as the St. Louis subway. As you know, St. Louis never had a true subway system but nonetheless there were subterranean tracks that went a few blocks down Tucker Blvd. in order for the Illinois Terminal traction cars to reach their new terminal at this location. Huge blocks were recently installed to support the newly renovated roadway. This is s good example of life following art as it is common practice to use foam as a substructure under model train layout scenery. I thought you all might be interested that the prototype does it as well.
