My BOTW for this week is an H0 scale Model Power house kit that I built for my winter layout section.

"A lot of modellers out there who go to these train shows see broken HO stuff and go, 'This is useless' when, in reality, they can still be used for modeling whether it's as a prop on your layout or a cool project to make something old new again."

Union and Lionel Stations. Taken at exhibit for Rocking Reindeer Run for the El Paso Children's Hospital. We find that O/O27 is so much easier to set up, than HO, for shows. Minutes as opposed to hours. That's Tin Plate Henry in background.

My building of the week I gat this morning at a flea market. It is Jefferson High School. Can only guess who made it. It is ready built. Maybe one of those Model Power or Walters already made buildings. Or another Christmas layout building. frank

That vintage Lionel stuff is pretty cool Jeff. I'm a little surprised they want to cart it around out in the weather, but then I suppose it's more durable than the plastic stuff we have sort of half "welded" with liquid cement.

Have a mess going making the layout dust cover... Found the L-L fire house in reach. Dusty as heck , and I recently put a large bunch of red flowers in the front pot...

Here's a before picture of the building I'm currently working on for my layout. The base and front steps are coming off and the front door is being lowered to ground level. The building's current footprint is a tad too big...

Yes sirree Walt. I picked up several buildings last week. I'm sure pictures of them will all be on here eventually.

Some of my Christmas loot this year...
Yep, the classic Pola "trackside tool buildings" kit, now sold by Walthers! The box said "Made in Germany," proving this was indeed Pola's doing (and not just Walthers buying the molds or something.)
And some fences for my layout, too! I plan to put the chain link ones around my rail yard.
My dad does most of his Christmas shopping online, and Walthers.com is typically his go-to source for model train stuff :)

Just saw that kit in a Life-Like box at an antique store in Ohio a couple weeks ago. I think it came with a base too. Would have got it but they wanted too much $$.
