Not sure when I got this , I believe i bought it off Ebay some years ago. A Bachmann Spectrum On30 shunter diesel, it came with DCC onboard, which I'd never tested. I took it to my LHS job today, and hooked it up to the Digitrax Zephyr programming system. I tried reading it, got nada, then remembered this system requires a resistor across the tracks to give it some load. After I dug out a 1/4 watt resistor and placed it across the rails, it read the Decoder, Add 3. Yippee! I typed in the re-program command, 2-bit address 57, and hit CD-WR button. A few flashes and it was done. I switched to track power on the Zephyr, punched in address 57, and advanced the throttle....it moved in forward and reverse, success! Another engine ready to be operated at my club's open house! I have two On30 cattle cars, which are my only On30 rolling stock, and it will pull those around. They're rather crude, but I am NOT going to get deeply into this scale! I intend this to be just a sideshow of mine. Anyhow, here's a picture of my little darling, figured why not start a thread here of anyone who has any On30 items, engines or cars, and post them why not?

Looks cute. Been thinking of doing HOn30... On30 is still a little too big for my space.
