This is probably a bit of a long-shot. I have an old PSM PCC trolley shell with no chassis/trucks/mechanism...the bottom half basically. I'm looking for either an original Pennsylvania Scale Models chassis or the updated Bowser version.
What I have:

They're scarce on ebay, and the ones that are there would murder me on shipping.
Any help is appreciated!

That's exactly what I need but I really wish it was local. For $30 I'd buy it. With the $15 shipping, $10.00 import charges (thank you ebay ) and conversion rate, I'd be paying closer to $60. That's more than the price of a complete trolley. Thanks for posting it though!

That is a darn nice shell, good luck on your search. For the bureau top layout? Makes me think of Toronto trolleys from my youth. Let me rummage around in my spare's box, I might or might not have something in that genre by Bowser. Do you think a cheaper, plastic Bachmann PCC chassis would fit in a pinch?

I just was thinking that myself Chops. Would need a chassis to take measurements off of and compare it to the body.

I was at English's Hobby Shop Saturday ( Bowser manufacturing, too ) in Montoursville, VA, and they had a plastic-based trolley chassis, complete at the front counter, it said for an old version of the Trolley, which one I don't know. But,they wanted $84.95 for it. I thought that a bit much. But it had all modern driveline, too, so if you wanted something like that for an older shell, it might be worth it. But since you're looking for a much cheaper alternative, I guess, that probably won't do. Just thought I'd mention it, since this is BOWSER we're talking about.

A Bachmann frame might fit the shell but the B-mann frames aren't able to handle the tight curves on my layout. That's why I need a Bowser/PSM.
Jerry: Bowser made an all-wheel drive chassis fairly recently that could be used to replace the old style one on the metal trolleys. I have nothing against using one, $85 is just a little on the expensive side.
