Why would you call this beaut a mess? Does it not work well or something? To me, it looks awesome.

Good luck finding one. Let alone at a decent price.

Erick, It looks good. It is just of 1940 vintage. With mine, I only found a body which I put a mantua pacific drive in. Mine is a streamlined PRR K4 in Tuscan paint with someone else's tender.. Your's is complete with tender and B&O paint. For B&O it should be a Royal Blue in color.

both engines look better to me than the B&O because they are original! the B&O is well done but it´does not represent a classic Varney! The shell is hurt and thats why I called it a mess! If I had a chance Sean I would take yours instead the B&O!

Also Frank did a nice job and did not hurt the shell! -Erich

This is an old topic but I just found one of these streamliner shells on ebay for a rather reasonable price. As I do not have the time nor the predisposition for this kind of project right now, I figure the least I could do is make you guys aware of it so that at least one of us can snag it. These don't come along very often.

Can I play? Here's one I just picked up. I would love to find the correct tender for this. If anyone has one, let me know. This one has had some liberties taken to it but nothing that can't be reversed. I plan on removing the "helmet" and cleaning up some imperfections in the boiler. I have a nice set of American Model Toys streamlined cars that I think I will pair up with this. I am going to use some imagination and make a NYC Empire State streamliner, with a few liberties taken to preserve the integrity of the loco.

This set I sold off years ago to an American Flyer collector who made me an offer I couldn't turn down. I found a clean boiler only, cannibalized a Gilbert 443 Hudson and heavily modified the chassis and inside the boiler to make it all work. It ran beautifully and makes you wonder why Gilbert never made an HO Circus set.
