I'll bite, Nelson. What's the fifth letter in 'snow'?

I was seeing double, so that would make it a tenth.

Could "double U" (w) count as two letters?
Really though, "snow" should be considered the opposite of a profanity because the name of the place where snow is least likely to occur is often used as a profanity.

At the moment, I am glad not to be in Buffalo, but at the same time, I almost wish I was. There is a lot of cool RR snow removal equipment up there. BSOR has the old NYC&HR / NYC / PC / CR rotary (built by Cooke in 1889! How often do you get to see 125 year old machinery in action?) and CSX I think has CR's German snowblower:

Plus there is the Snow Jet and assorted plows and spreaders. I hope the local fans get some video!

You posted a link to the crummy new foreign one, but not the AWESOME old Cooke one! I am ashamed of you
http://crcyc.railfan.net/mow/snow/cr64599c.jpg This was in fact the oldest piece of rolling stock inherited by Conrail (edging out the former RDG scale-test cars built 1899-1900, which also remain serviceable), and the closest thing there ever was to a steam locomotive on Conrail's roster.

A nice touch is the build date simply stated as "12/89". :D
