I was watching Fox News channel about 5:45 tonight, and a Cox commercial came on, about half way through, the guy is standing on his son's 4 x 8 plywood layout, well-scenic'd, couldn't tell what kind of train it was, I think diesel, 2 cars and a caboose. Pretty cool, you rarely see any model trains in commercials these days. Just in case you see a Cox Internet commercial come on, be prepared. :)

Cool! What brand was the locomotive and cars? Sorry, I'm kind of a nerd so I feel like I "need" to know that.

Like I said, it went by so quick, I couldn't tell. the first shot was a distance shot, so couldn't easily pick it out. I think it came around again with a close-up on the young man, but not sure.

Oh cool, I actually have the steam engine in that commercial! It's a Bachmann Union Pacific USRA 0-6-0 switcher with a slope-back tender. The ironic part of this advertisement is that Cox was also the name of a model railroad manufacturer from the 1970s and/or 1980s and this has a model railroad product in it.

Exactly... I saw the subject line and I thought "well, in a commercial for Cox anything, the trains had better be Cox too!"
