I like where it says "molded in USA", Shipped to China. There it is "assembled, decorated and packaged in China". Then sent back here to sell to us. No wonder it cost $22 [:(!] Also They have over 10,000 miles on them by time they get here [:D]

Vintage HO: It's called "The Athearn Method".
Gah, and double the price, no less! What is this world coming to. Those hopper kits are fine but not hard to assemble, and are a joy to put together. Assembling a "shake-the-box" kit is one of the few truly zen experiences you can get for cheap.
Still, I guess it's not as bad as preassembled Plasticville. That was the surest sign yet of the coming Model Checkbook Railroading Apocalypse. If you can't be bothered to put a Plasticville kit together, you should just shoot yourself. Or go back to collecting wine and fine cigars.[:P]

c'mon, don't you feel like gettin' one of them AeroTrains? Did you know the real ones were based upon the city transit buses? And it's said that they were intensively rougher than the buses. The models will probably work better than the real ones... go figure.
Yes, it's a tragedy to get the RTR cars. The cost is brutal. I loved building the Athearn passenger kits... now, you're lucky to get any of those kits in your hands.
You know why they're assembled in China? It's the subliminal (covert) way to export their air... remember the Simpson's episode where the "Hi everybody!" guy sells the "whisper quiet" blender? It could happen here, right in your own home. Tsk, tsk.

I don't have a one track mind. It depends on the turn-out. "I love your catenary!" Is that a power-trip or just another pick-up line?
