Wood sides, top and bottom. I think the ends are plastic. Definitely a kit someone put together.

I was looking through HOseeker's Silver Streak page and found what is probably your car in the Silver Streak 1961 catalog.

I also found on HOseeker's Silver Streak page that they made those cars in the late 1950's and the early 1960's so that should help with dating your car. Hope this helps.
