Hey, Jeff! Thank You for putting this on the forum... I was expecting more like the good crashes where the train hits the car as it passes over the crossing. The Vettes were pretty cool but the Indy cars look a little silly crossing a railroad!
I also hate to hit and derail the train cars especially in my case where two trains are running opposite directions. That creates a real mess that usually involves both trains before you can get them stopped.
I'm sure I'll form some small trains and film a few good crashes to put online for everyone. But the truth is I really don't want to destroy my trains and slot cars this time around, or my buildings, light poles, etc... I remember breaking steps off the rail cars daily..
The great thing about this video is that Dad & the boy was having a lot of fun together with a nice layout. Lots of memories being made there! The boy reminded me of myself 40 years ago having a blast, and I am recreating that timeless memory today!

I used to play with larger scale slot cars (maybe 1:32) and they actually answered to some laws of physics. They fishtailed when you took the corners to fast and could not go 0 to 900 instantaneously. These HO cars are a whole different game.
