I was gonna post my MRC Tech 2800 dual controller this week as my AOTW but since Ray brought up the Batmobile, my AOTW is a Corgi Toys Batmobile from the 1970's.

Yeah, but did you know the original batmobile is based off of a 1950s concept car from Lincoln?

On the serious side I have that sign for my truck stop as well, only issue I have with the blinker it needs to be on a separate circuit.

Walt - You can buy a 1966 Batmobile replicar now
IF I got one I'd want a cassette tape deck in it

My all time fave is the one from the 1989 movie

My AOTW is a large rubber hammer. It is very useful in starting stalled trains in hard to reach areas of a layout. It is handy if one is just to lazy to get up. The rubber head will not leave marks on plywood, but can be hard on finished scenery. It is best to use on layouts where all the people, buildings, and vehicles are glued down. Remember when using this type of device, apply only a measured force. If to much force is used, then you will have to get up and put the train back on the track.

That's fun, John

Yes, Jerry... The only Batmobile that I know was made by Barris... For those who read above comments. Barris done the original Batmobile black, with WHITE trim... Barris said it looked horrible on the set. Right on the set, he changed the color to the orange...He stepped back to look, and knew, he had it right!!

Seeing JRG1951's picture of a hammer got me to thinking, does an accessory have to be strictly related to the layout? How about accessories for the workbench?

As I suffer from Diabetic Neuropathy (I am loosing feeling in my fingers), my 2 most used accessories, when working on models are pictured below. One is a grabber, used for small parts and screws. When the plunger is pushed 3 wires with 90 degree bends on the ends extend from the end and grab onto almost anything. The other is a ramp that puts cars and engines onto the rails without all the fussing around trying to feel if the wheels are on the tracks.

We use one of those for our N scale layout at my model train club and it saves so much time and hassles. Even an H0 scale one would be great to find.

I know. I'm just saying that my train group has one in N scale and describing how much easier it is to put cars on the track with it. I actually know quite a few people who have those too.

My AOTW is a Cox Big Pine Lumber log truck. Rebuilt it from a yard sale find but have not had a chance to paint the plastic repair. The trailer was missing a pair of wheels so I found a use for an Athearn wheel/axle set.

Those trucks look familiar... I've got that Cox tractor, made by Walthers with the old Cox tooling, painted for BN's piggyback fleet, as well as that Yatming tanker, in blue... minus the tank. A cousin gave me it long after he tore off the tank

The Cox spotted owl was part of their Walmart kit. The owl is nesting in the sign, just like in real life!

The other is a ramp that puts cars and engines onto the rails without all the fussing around trying to feel if the wheels are on the tracks.

awesome collection of batmobiles. my only question is where do you store all your stuff? Do you have a second home just for it all? He he!

Got one of those myself. They come in all sizes and are not just for the layout. Chops124 has a very informative video on how to take apart a MARX car in his " ahh! SANKA vid.

Loved the toung in cheek humor about the spotted owls guys.

Just like I do with the "junk" ones I get over time.

"A lot of modellers out there who go to these train shows see broken HO stuff and go, 'This is useless' when, in reality, they can still be used for modeling whether it's as a prop on your layout or a cool project to make something old new again."
