I am working my way through an estate with over 300 freight cars and decided to let the forum have a crack at some of the better cars before putting them on ebay. Some have minor parts missing (trucks or couplers ) others are intact.

$3+shipping($4)

I have 2 of these

missing couplers (tyco) $2

Missing couplers (bachman?) have roof not pictured $2

Needs cleaning $2

Will post more soon PM or Email me and we can work something out re payment or trade for pre-war era NYC rolling stock

I saw one once about 15-20 years ago. It was a Pullman grain hopper car and was so new I could still smell the paint curing as it rolled by.

I expect that it now smells like fermenting grain dust.

Hey folks,
I just got some of those freight cars from Leo. Good deal. I sent him the money Wednesday afternoon and Saturday morning they show up at my door. Each car was individually wrapped in small bubble wrap. Bargain prices, too.

Ben
Thanks for the tip I generally do that but forgot this time. I am preparing to post some 50 more cars here and am trying to figure out how to get the cropped pics to show up smaller here?

Glad you are happy. I have always believed that you never take advantage of your friends. I made my investment back when I sold 7 big boxes of pre-war Lionel O27 to an antique dealer who specializes in restoring them. That is why I can share these with my friends at such a cheap price or a decent trade.

You just need to resize them. Microsoft Paint will do it, as will many other apps. If you are running Windows you already have Paint. If using Paint, on the Home tab click "Resize". You can resize by percentage or pixels. Make sure "Maintain Aspect Ratio" is checked and you won't distort the image. Experiment to see what size works.
