My first restoration of sorts from the yard sale junk box - a Tyco ATSF Sea-Land container flat.
This thing was in sorry shape, the victim of someone with a big brush with brown enamel paint attempting to "weather" it.
Luckily, the Sea-Land logos were mostly spared - so I masked them off and painted the containers with white. The flat car body was repainted and decaled with Microscale decals for the letters and numbers, and scrap data decals from a hopper project. Added some Kadees and of course - when available - will give it some metal wheelsets.
I really enjoy bringing these old survivors back to life.

J:

It looks good. I never would have guessed you repainted it.

And of course the Tyco flatcar always looks good.

Always nice to see old tired freight cars getting some well-deserved TLC and a good home!
