John-

I would keep that lower center piece the same silver as your main body lower silver color.

Would you make the trucks silver as well or leave them black?

Your longhorn logo is perfect as is. Many people are "put off" by skulls and skeletal images.
Perhaps they look good for fans of certain types of music, or as iconic western objects in a "southwestern" themed painted picture study, but the general public is not enthralled by death themed images, so your stylistic longhorn presents a modern and "speed-suggesting" image.

Perhaps a passenger car with the longhorn image also might be a good idea.

Good work, pal!

Siouxlake,

I will be using FT units from bachmann, I may just try to remove the Lettering and replace it with T&RGRR decals. I may paint the trucks silver or grey. My longhorn logo is simple but effective, at least I think so, so it will remain unchanged as you suggest. Thanks for the feed back.

John, I like it--it's a very 'smart' scheme (as the British would say). I tried to create a livery for a fantasy Orient that would have made it a subsidiary of the Frisco--notice the A and B units. Chris The Orient letters aren't exact to the Frisco's, but close. They're actually from an O scale Central of Georgia set! cENTral of geORgIa...

Paint the fuel tank skirt silver along with the trucks to make it a little more distinct from DRGW and it'll be perfect! Personally I always thought that scheme would look a little better with a black pilot instead of orange, but I dunno.
