Yes Walt I am shocked
I also note that this one does NOT have the super-cool satellite dish. Now my question is, does this house have cable?

Nice ballasting. Ballasting is so dang hard, and this is N scale no less!

The "Dallas" module made it to the train show, a little threadbare as it requires much more detail. Come to think of it, it looks a lot more like Denver...

I used road dirt that I swept up off of the curb and then sifted to just keep the finest particles.quote:Nice ballasting. Ballasting is so dang hard, and this is N scale no less!

I also use sand from the gutter for HO ballast. To reduce the dust and make the ballast more porous for gluing, I pour the sand back and forth between buckets in a gentle breeze. Then, the ballast can be poured on the track and swept into shape with a soft paint brush.
I usually dribble on Elmer's carpenter's glue, diluted 6 parts water to 1 part glue (adding a little dish soap or rubbing alcohol so it soaks in better). This approach seems to go fairly easily, but be careful not to glue down switch points or get glue in electrical connections.

Think I have both, do not want either, not in perfect shape (a couple roof vents might have come off and at least one is still sitting around here), if I ever dig them out I'll let you know...

Re: house without satellite dish. The box advertises that it has "gutter and drain spout detail." What will they think of next????

Jeff, When that kit was designed a satellite dish was the size of a house, and only operated by the department of defense. Regards, John ************

i know someone in my train group that has that exact same mine on their layout. Nice building though, just thought I'd point out that fact because I thought it was interesting.

I knew something like that existed in the 70's but I never knew Tyco made anything like that. Neat piece there!
