Hi! I know this is a big time long shot but I'm rebuilding three Life-Like Alco C628's. But when I was stripping the paint and I noticed one of the steps is broken off. I'd hate to have to buy another one, especially on a limited income. So I'm wondering if anyone has a frame in a junk box somewhere under a workbench. It doesn't even need to be a good frame, just one I can cut a step off and do a step transplant.
I know it's a long shot but worth a shot.

Got it!! Found a C628 at a train show for $5.00.
