I was wondering if I could make a special lense or something for a Batman spot/search light? I want one for my HO light. Wanna use a Model Power search light tower.

I did a little experimenting by cutting a simple shape out of a piece of paper and holding it in front of a flashlight. The first light I used had a tungsten bulb and it projected an image of the filament on the ceiling. Knowing that an LED emits light from a flat surface, I next tried an LED flashlight and it projected a somewhat fuzzy image of the shape I cut in the paper.

Some light shone through the paper around the hole which made for a poorer image. The best you could do is to use an LED and cut the bat wing image through foil which is more opaque.

Experiment with an LED flashlight and see if you like the results.
