Nice! I have one too!
Here's a new building kit I got for my layout...
The Atlas elevated gate tower! It does look rather nice. Curiously, the instruction sheet has a copyright year of 1962 (despite it looking relatively modern, with the Atlas URL on the bottom.) I guess that's when they first released that building kit... But I guess it's because Atlas is one of those companies where many of their products haven't changed since they first came out way back when (though Atlas first began making nickel-silver track in the '80s.)

| This ceramic model of the Tara house from the movie "Gone with the wind" shows the elegant but simple lifestyle people had back in the day.

Here's a $5 find at the train show, an Esso station, unknown manufacturer.

Hopefully this reply ends up on the right box. Super sweet LL fire house. If it is just "out to have its picture taken," would you entertain the idea of a trade? Gawd I hate these cutsy icons. Doesn't anyone know how to write any more?

Well my reply to fire house blew right past that box, so let me try to reply on ESSO station: Evocative minimalist piece the likes I have never seen. Sorry if my format is bolloxed, please correct me accordingly.

Yeah minimalist is a good word for the gas station, I thought the word Gasoline was missing an E at the end but that is the way it is molded, with no E at the end.

you can go back & DELETE the comment or even EDIT the comment too
The Esso (S.O. = Standard Oil) could be a Pola or some EU manufacture

Thanks. It really caught my eye. Has that streamliner look to it. Kind of hard to see in my photos but it has an interior as well. I may eventually paint the pavement and the roof but I'm going to leave this alone as much as possible.

It's a German model of some kind. I have a different variation of Esso station, same signs but different building shape if I remember. Might get around to digging it out.

I have a couple for my new layout...
Tyco Lighted Colonial House. I haven't wired it up yet.
Bachmann Plasticville barn. I didn't care for the solid red color on the doors and other trim, so I painted them white.
