Hello,

Not since Bachmann's early '70s N-gauge attempt has there been a plastic model of the United Aircraft Turbo Train outside of brass for modelers.

Rapido Trains of Canada recently showed at the July '06 NMRA Show samples of their HO-Scale UA Turbo...

Rapido has announced the models will be available in 3-car sets for $499. That includes both end units powered with sound and one coach. Additionally cars will be available. The Rapido UA Turbo will be offered in what appears to be all the prototype schemes for both the U.S. and Canada.

For more information on Rapido's products, you can check out their website: http://www.rapidotrains.com/turbo01.html

The Rapido Turbo model photo is from Tom Murray's collection of NMRA Show images. You can view all his NMRA photo highlights here...
