This is a great show - plus free parking and free admission
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The work of the Huntington-based Collis P. Huntington Railroad Historical Society and Kentucky State Parks, The Tri-State Model Trail Railroad Show celebrates its Silver Anniversary as just about every square inch of the Jesse Stuart Lodge gets laid with the mini tracks of nearly a dozen model railroad layouts.
There’s also a little steam train you can ride outside as well.
Free and open to the public, the event has grown into Greenbo’s largest annual event draws between 2,000 to 5,000 people for the two-day show and last year was named as one of the Top 10 Spring Festivals by the Kentucky Tourism Council.
Hours this year are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, March 15 and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. For more info, call (800) 325-0083. https://www.google.com/calendar/render?eid=MjkwcXY5NGsyZWg2bHRjbjljbXEyYWRvNGcgbnJ0dHdpdHRlcjEzMjNAbQ&ctz=America/New_York&sf=true&output=xml

Sorry busss, no A-Team
It WAS a great show. Lots of stuff and mostly good prices.
Some Heljan bridge piers, a working Tyco Holly Sugar covered hopper, Athearn BN GP-50, Rivarossi "American Railroads" observation car, a Tyco PC boxcar, and a Bachmann UP crane - all intact and in great shape. AND still have half my train show money left for the next one in two weeks
Will post pics of the live steamers tomorrow

Here's some of the live steamers they were giving free rides on. Don't know if the Southern switcher is battery powered or if it has a small gas engine. Ken, you might be interested in one of these

It even has a steam powered whistle, sounds just like the real thing....which I suppose it is, after all...just smaller.

I wonder if the feedwater heater is actually functional. I notice a disconnected fitting down by the running board.
