Dan Ackroyd that guy ain't. Even if Tyco was something I disliked, it wouldn't have been funny. It was a prime example of what I say of a number of people "they have more money than brains".

I saw that earlier before DaCheez posted it (it came up as "related" to my other vids I've posted) and thought it was funny. Like it or not, their perception of Tyco is what 80% of the general public - let alone model railroaders - seems to recall. Although their facts were a little off in this case.

As for "Will It Blend?" To fully appreciate the Tyco version, you guys need to check out the ORIGINAL site:

http://www.willitblend.com

Pretty funny stuff - like something out of the Late Show. And check the prices on those blenders [:0]

This guy is an idiot. If you look at his other video of his model railroad layout-He has TYCO locomotives and rolling stock.

Dumb and Dumber or Big Silly and little Silly describe this pair. For being the worst trains in history they sure go for a pretty penny on eBay. I love Tyco trains; they look neat and add to excitement of model railroading. They do not need three rails to get around the track either. Long live Tyco trains.[}:)] [8]

Blending trains...an interesting idea for a funny video. The thing that I don't like about this video though, is what they say about Tyco. If they're gonna give facts about something, they should actually get some. Tyco made trains for longer than a brief period of time in the 70's, and they are not considered "the worst" model trains ever made. Someone should take a screenshot of that video with those two guys, print out a couple dozen copies, and see if they will blend[:D]. Then post it on youtube. I would do that, but I'm not sure my mom will let me use the blender for that.[B)]

Todays common perception works for me. I'm putting together quite a collection that will only increase in value. When I go to train shows I usually approach the vendors with "How much do you want for this Tyco stuff?" and it is with the attitude of "How much for this crap?" Hey, works for me.

For instance I bought a Purina Reefer today for a couple of bucks. I can turn that thing for $50 to $100 tomorrow on Ebay. You say "HAH, you're out of your mind NYC, been smoking the weed or what?" This one is quite unique, pics to follow in it's own thread somewhere, I don't think anyone has this variant. As always I won't state the difference, mental exercise is healthy for you. This one shouldn't be too hard. I do ask that you don't compare it to other pics or look at another one first, let your mind work.

I like using windows movie maker, so I made a really messed up video where I shred and try to feed my cat screen prints of the two guys that made this video. I look kind of crazy, but it's just me acting.

And BTW, my hair doesn't usually look like that. It's just shorter than it used to be so it dries really funny after I wash it. That's why I'm wearing the bumblebee hat.

Way off topic here Cheez but I put together a train video on Windows Movie Maker and tried to burn it onto a dvd with Sonic but I keep getting a timing error with Sonic so I tried to burn it with Nero but Nero says it isn't the right type of file for it to burn it onto a dvd. Do you have any experience with burning your movies onto dvd. Thank you. Paul

I have tried burning videos onto DVDs. When I tried playing them on other computers, I just got red X's where the video clips should be. I think what I did wrong was I burned the project file and not the actual movie file. If you have saved your video as a project, open it up. Then go "file" "save movie as" rather than "save project as". Then when you burn it, save the movie file NOT the project file. I haven't really tried burning the movies onto DVD's but I'm pretty sure thats what you're doing wrong.

-cheez

And just so you guys no, that video I made is sposed to be stupid funny. So unless you laugh at the most random things, you prolly won't like it.

Can't wait to see it Tony. A couple of my friends have already/are going to post my video on their myspaces and websites. Publicity is goooood.[:D]

As for the "Revenge of the Tyco Part Two" I mentioned earlier. I haven't made that yet, and if I do I probably won't use those two clowns. It'll probably be something like "Tyco Trek" or "Train Wars". I'll temporarily attach some rocket engines to my Bachmann and Tyco Switchers, and have them chasing each other around the tracks. A little bit of star wars music and some laser canon sound effects and bam...instant space trilogy[:O)].

Eric... Like...

Most Exxxxxxxxxxxxxelent video!

You really know how to capture the essence of model training!

And then, the kicker was... The Trolley!... or, is it the trolly? No... Trolley! All those sleek loco's and passengercars, then have the trolley puttin' around... classic!
A regular classic video. I thought I saw some Athearn CN Passenger cars, too. You really know your stuff! You have a lot of gems in that video. Oh, hey... I never put it in my roster, but I have one of those Transformer's boxcars. I would almost, and basically see it as a write-off to have in my collection... perhaps, if you're interested...
Anyway, have a great day.

Bells and whistles to you, Eric.

Thanx John. I actually had to leave some of my coolest trains out of the video (my turbo trains don't stick to my brass rails, my CN GP-20 isn't running right, and I can't remeber why my 4-6-2 Pacific wasn't in it).

Yup, those were Athern CN passenger cars. And there were two different trolleys. One was a brill trolley and the other was a SF cable car. I also have a second cable car and a handcar that weren't in it.

-cheez

and for those of you who are wondering, the european train at the end was a fleischman E-69 steeplecab with 2 playcraft cars and a tri-ang caboose.

That's it??? He messaged me and told me he was making a movie poking fun back at me...that sure wasn't anything exciting.

Anyway, for me, the will it blend Tyco video wasn't really offensive to me because of the tyco in the blender. Like Choochin said before, two of those cars don't even look like Tyco. It was more the "tyco only made trains for a brief period of time and didn't do a very good job, they are consider the worst ever made..." part that got to me.

mr newshoes... hmmm...

granted, he's got a bit of humour in his system. But, remember what he said "I've been taking a bit of heat..." Well, that to me sounds like you did, in fact grill him.

I think he does know we have a sense of humor, poking fun at some train mfg, is kinda petty. The way he laughed when his video ended... dang, I chuckled a bit. BUT, does the creator of "Will It Blend?" know he's being copied?

And figure this... Using a blender, destroying model trains he could sell on ebay, (if he even knew the money he's destroying), and then slandering the Tyler company.

That Lionel locomotive he's showing in the blender, man... you gotta be nuts to destroy those things. Ounce for ounce, that locomotive could be thrown in self defense and then be put back on the tracks and run again... you couldn't do that to an H O model. I'd like to see him look on ebay or something like that... someone could send him the price-range of the trains he destroys... I think he'd stop that nonsense.

At least the real "Will It Blend?" guy has some significant things to blend (and reminds watchers not to try it at home) like ordinary household items, etc. Not someones' personal hobby item.

And, besides... maybe he had bad luck with his own trains. There is always someone who praises the gawdy collectible things... well, I have a bit of that type of collection. I find out great information on my own items, thanks to this forum.

And, finally... DaCheez, he did send you a rebuttle... that means you did something good.
And for mr.newshoes... 20 lashes with a CN wet noodle!

I'm finished... I think...

Yes, he told me he was flattered. I'm not sure what he really thought of my video though. And if you didn't notice, that video where he put the trains in the blender...he changed the name to "will it puree". Is this to keep from getting in trouble or what???

And putting plastic in a blender doesn't seem like a good way to get laughs. I prefer to do much safer things...such as keeping a piece of cheez in my locker for 4 months and a half drunken juice box[:D]. Turns out juice eventually turns into jello!!![:O]...who knew???[:O)].

BTW. For my next super hilarious video, I plan to experiment with balloons, baking soda, vinegar, ketchup, mustard and a pancho[:D]. Does anyone think I should make a video of myself eating bananas and drinking sprite???[xx(]

Great job on the videos, Cheez.
