Well, I picked up a brass boiler 4-4-2 today, cheap, missing a ton of parts basket case. Have wanted one for a while so it's probably a keeper.
Is there anywhere I can find parts for it, or should I consider it a parts loco and plan on rounding up another one or two to make it complete?
It needs a boiler front, a dome, all the rods, trailing truck, possibly lead truck, a tender truck... yeah, it's missing a lot, but has the drivers and motor on the frame, boiler shell, cab, and cylinders.
It also could use the paint stripped; I've never done potmetal (tender) and brass, what's best to use on them?

Cool loco! I myself has your 4-4-2 companion, the brass Reading 4-6-2.

| I have a nice 4-6-2 already, wasn't even sure what I bought as it was an auction box lot with a Pacific frame thrown in too.
