I do some repairs, I also am working at Trains Etc in Chantilly, VA, who does mail order repair, but my boss charges $65/hr rates. Not sure you want that for repairing a Tyco! But he's used to the Lionel / O gauge crowd who will pay it, and can afford it, as their stuff is way more valuable in general. I"m doing a side repair job now for a guy who came in to get his Tyco F9 Penn Central engine repaired, a childhood unit, I took him aside and offered to repair it for him for way less, as I have the parts ( and I dont want to see a good Tyco die, his wife was hoping ( I think ) that the rest of the train wouldn't be usable without the engine ). Redneck can take point on your repairs, if additional help is needed, let me know.

Repairing HO is a labor of love, as pointed out, it goes way beyond the value of most model except for brass or high end stuff...

Hi All,

I will have to keep this post in mind.

I have an old Mantua 2-8-2 that I would like to get repaired eventually.
