like... it's brand- new! Doesn't even look like it's been spanked yet, er, like a new-borne...

Holy... "Parts That Fit... Quality That Counts"

What's with the extra trucks? ...>>>uh, what about the trucks?

Talk about smokin' lucky strikes!

I'm jealous!

Is that a power-trip or just another pick-up line?

Excellent Condition! Those are neat examples and for those of us who grew up with TYCO Brown Box of the '70s and later, the mere idea of a kit version always seemed odd to me...since TYCO was by the '70s just RTR toy trains.

Regarding the question about the trucks - Romcat, please correct me if I'm wrong:

I saw this auction, and the seller indicated that the package specifically indicated that it was a special packing, intentionally including extra trucks so that the buyer could convert a dummy unit to power as well. I'm paraphrasing, so Romcat, correct me if I'm wrong. This would be a unique package variation, or at least one I've never seen before. Was the seller correct about that?

Hi Chris:

It's Gareth btw. Yup you nailed it. I don't know if the mod was done at the factory or at the dealer/hobbyshop. I would guess the latter. It's in the original box. All the kit detail parts are in seperate packaging inside the box. Sadly it will never get built since it was bought as a collection item. Course that allows me to excuse buying a complete MU-2 powered SF Blue/Yellow Freight GP20! [^] [^] [^] [^] [^] [^]
