I thought this would be a fun OTW, as there is always someone wanting SOMETHING out there, and isn't it great when you can find said item yourself, and at a good price? You can now hold it out to them and say "See, I got what you wanted! Now beg! Ha! Ha! Ha! " Just kidding...then again, in some cases....it's just fun to tease them, 'cause we like them so much.  So today's tease is dedicated to Microbusss, the giant of gimme, winner of wants, etc. I found this at the Timonium Train show Sunday, a club member had put out a fraction of his rolling stock for sale at a club table, and boy, was I a happy camper myself! 6 printer-paper boxes full of BOXED cars, many I'd never seen - Packerland 62' tankers? 3 of them in baby blue. Plus many others. Priced at 5-10 each. Very reasonable. I spent about 105 bucks before the main show even opened, going through those 6 boxes, musta had 30+ cars in each one.
Anyway, pulled out a Tyco box, and wonder of wonders, something Micro has been looking for. Tyco Steel caboose, in Durange livery, and not the spotlight car. Hmm, $5, should I get it? Yeah, it'll look GOOD on my shelf. I have a Durango engine too, so ... home it came with me.   Have a view!
So got the box and car for cheap, now to listen for the faint howls of "Gimme!" wafting all the way from Nebraska... Now that the weather has gotten cooler in Virginia, sound should travel better, too. Sometimes you just gotta enjoy the moment....
So, if you have ever had a Gimme! moment, post your TOTW to BenMicro this week. Or I can do it solo. Other people will be harder, but I have one for NEXT week for EM-1 All in good fun, boys, no harm meant.
