Guys,
I got a good need for Athearn plastic, OR Kadee metal either or will do, for the 28 inch wheel sets for the Im pact cars, both ends and intermediates, any one have any to spare for trade?
I got all sorts of wheels for trade, or we can talk other parts, I'm fair game in trading normally if I have something....

John, I have never been into the well cars and such. I am stuck on 40' box cars. How many wheels sets do you need total?

Well, that depends, I'm more looking for the 28 inch ones for the plastic ones, and or metal ones, BUT if your referring to the "normal" Athearn wheelsets, those are all 33 inch diameter....And won't work under the Athearn 5 unit Impact cars....

I have a pair of 22" (!) wheelsets I got from god-knows-where, I think I might have put them in something else by now though...

Well, as it turns out the 22's got put together some time with some scale lumber into a flatcar load, but I do happen to have a steamer pilot truck I found on the floor of a model railroad club some years ago that I never found the owner of nor any use for. I'll take a pic and PM ya.

Went to another train shop and found, hidden in the bins of detail parts, 5 old packs of NWSL 28" wheelsets, unopened. Remembered this thread and got them for ya, pm me if they're what you were looking for.

EM-1, I ordered some 28" wheelsets directly from KADEE. Due to high personal transportation costs and lack of dealer outlets, this is becoming my preferred way of purchasing supplies.
