Just scored this at my PT model train job, a tyco lot came in for resale, this nice Kenworth truck and trailer were part of it, for $5 I got this nice piece with box. I pretty much had everything else in the lot, but this was too good to pass up!

Ben, Jerry, that's cool that its a Dodge, what year tho? AND what model number? Like the 1967 Dodge Power Wagon was a "W-200"? See?
I'm trying to figure out which truck that was the same so I can see what a real one, looked like, also to see, just what options were offered back then, for such a truck!

It's an L series, probably 600, produced from 1966-1970, based off the A-100 cab. Here's a link to them :
http://www.sweptline.com/hist/a-100.html
The L-700 was similar, except it had super-wide front fender flairs for whatever reason.

WELL, that was a fast one! Thanks guys!
I got to looking through that website Jerry, posted ion the L series, and I'm amazed they had "gasoline options" for a power plant, AND to add to it, the Mopar 318, 2 barrel carb. was offered! That HAD to be some powerful gearing added to the differential to obtain speed with load......I'm truly amazed as what has been done with the common, Mopar, 318 motor block....That says volumes!
Now, granted, yes, I'm a Mopar fan, I LOVE the old muscle and those here that's ventured into that, has seen.....BUT, I'm learning too, these cars, were in deed fast, in a straight line, turns, curves, for get it, you'd take a grass blanket nap.....
Anyway these were based off the same as the van? (I admit I didn't have a chance to read through the whole website Jerry, posted)

Yes, they used the same metal on the van and pick-up cabs, and used it on the big trucks, too. Pretty thrifty use of metal-work! I remember seeing a tilt-cab version of this, was thinking it would be neat to swap it down to a pickup or van chassis, and have it tilt, as a custom. I think someone else had the same idea, as that cab eventually disappeared from the vintage junkyard it was in.

Ben, I tell ya, the "Mopar" trend for me ended in 1979. BUT regained back to me, recently with the offering of the "new" Charger.............EVEN THO, it looks NOTHING like its real counterpart years ago. HOWEVER, my newest "favorite" car, has to go to the new Challenger....and it sort of looks like the old counterpart, and that keeps my interest......PLUS, that 5.7 liter Hemi, is built off the old 392 Hemi! Even tho, its NOT a "true" Hemi. The heads are NOT Hemispherical, they are Pent-Roof Hemi's......sort of Hemispherical, AND Pentigon at the same time! Which makes it more effient MPG's.....As it allows for more valves, 2 intake, 2 exhaust......

Pardon Me,
Do you mean a paint job like this?

Regards John *************************
I got a lot of criticism for building the Charger. When I went over to Dodge, I asked Lee Iacocca, "What've we got to work with?" Well, we had these little Chargers with 2.2-liter engines and inefficient transmissions. The horsepower? About 90. But with turbochargers, we were able to pull 750 horsepower out of it. Same block, same engine. I still drive one. Those that we built for Dodge in the eighties can outrun the pocket rockets of today. This was the beginning of the pocket rockets, so I guess I had the last laugh. It's always a challenge to try to make a mule outrun a racehorse. <> Carroll Shelby

Actually, Daisy Duke originally had a Yellow Plymouth GTX, ('71 or '72) with a 383 power plant under the hood, BEFORE she got the Jeep......
BUT, that's a disgrace to the General!

Consider the source.
The picture was taken in a Walmart parking lot. That is even smaller than a Dodge Fiat 500. Would need one for each foot.

John, That's NOT a Dodge! Its a Smart car....Sadly, a lot confuse it, but the smart car was designed and built by Daimler-Benz.....OUTSIDE of the Chrysler company! BUT, the funny part, was the fact that Daimler, had control over Chrysler, and imported the smart cars into the USA under that import license/document....NOW its made, legal! As the smart cars were excepted into todays safety by the DOT's, AND Daimler has dropped Chrysler, all together and Fiat picked them up! Which makes it the other way around as since then Benz is legal here now! with the same sort of paper work for their import.....Plus, our government got a bit more easy going that way due to the "big 3" fall out a few years ago on their money loss!

John, I beg to differ, I think it is a stupid car. If you have a head on collision with a dog, you will lose. The Daimler-Chrysler company made tanks for both sides in WWII. I'll bet Fiat built a few tanks for the enemy too.

Saw this on eBay . . . a Mantua metal kit; flat car with tractor and round nose trailer. Seems pretty rare. I didn't get it, but thought the fans of flat cars with trucks would enjoy seeing it.

I'm not saying their a "good" car. You wouldn't catch me "dead" in one of them! You'd die in a bicycle accident in one of them!
