Guys,
I got an odd request, I NEED JUNK! Imagine that? Well see, it begins like this, I got a few "builds" I'm working on, and would like to finish, and I got the parts, I need.....Problem then you ask? The parts are in mint shape, and I know damned well, IF I cut it up for another project, the proper place that "part" belong will turn up.....SO....
Knowing that is half the battle! I need specific junk parts, I don't car of color, and chips and such they are gonna be hacked up to bits to fit some other purpose, which in the end, you all will see! For instance:
I'd like to get at least one junk walkway off the top of a Bachmann covered hopper, I don't care if its cracked and hanging, I don't care if its just the 2 long sides of it as it actually forms a "O" around the top edges of the car, I don't care if the mounting "lugs" under it that fits into holes are snapped off, or cut off for that matter, I need just parts for this one build.....I'll payu your mailing the part...OR trade you parts that you may need for another car!
I'm also looking for "shingle" roof section the larger, the better, any is good too, I also would require, the only thing to have no "open" holes for say dormers in it/them.
In this build, I'm looking for a rather odd part too....anyone have any of the old time die cast (or plastic) separate body part to a tank car, thats the single dome sort? Not sure if anyone will recall these, but, Selley I think, made them, I'm merely looking for the "dome" that was once glued, or bolted onto the center of the tank itself. BEFORE it was cast part of the body.
