I have a couple of complete, nice original Athearn GP30s here except both are painted.
So if anyone has a couple of shells to spare, or dead engines, drop me a note.
If I had my preference I'd get one Burlington and one either NYC or Reading, but I'll take what I can get. (UP and Santa Fe are the only other two roads on this one).
This is the original Athearn shell they stopped making in 1966, with the too-wide hood, not the later Kader piece sold by Lionel, Bachmann, and used by Bev-Bel on Athearn drives for a time. Bachmann still sells that one today.

I have a Burlington GP30 shell, I'd part with. However, I think it has some damage. I think a soldering iron touched the side. I'll try to find the shell, today, if you are o.k. with the defect. (You said you had some nice GP30's.)
Unspoken expectations are premeditated failures.
