Trying to become a reformed lurker(stalker) and thought I would see if anyone is from the Palmetto state. I am about half way between Florence (nice CSX yard there) and Myrtle Beach.
Anyone from S.C. feel free to give me a shout. Oh, HO scale with lots of older DC stuff (Athearn, Roundhouse and yes Tyco)

hey George,
I live up above Charlotte, NC now, but was born in Florence and lived in Darlington the first 25 years of my life. After some detours to other places, I've been above Charlotte for about 11 years now, so the Forence-Darlngton area is less familiar to me than it once was, but maybe we can relate a little. If you'll notice, my avatar is a locomotive of the South Carolina Central railroad, which runs from Florence to Darlington, Hartsville, and Bishopville. Good to see someone on the forum from the original Rebel state!

| I was down there last fall for a show in Columbia the end of September. Thinking I will do one in Winston-Salem this year. Not that Columbia was a bad show, but it was mostly a Lionel show and about half of what I sold went to one guy who was also from out of town. That's a nice area, from what I can see.
