Guys,
You all have helped me in the past and here I am again....needing help (in another way! )

Anyway, I'm building a model of the B&O "Old Maude", the USA's first Articulated or "Mallet" type compound locomotive....Anyway, in doing so, I'm using a Mantua drive, that's in really good shape, BUT, in making this model, I noticed a few small things, ITS NEAR impossible to find slide valve cylinder steam chests! Specially Mantua ones that would fit this loco perfectly! But anyway, I will get at least one set of them.....

Then moving along I need a cab, a sort of special cab.....This loco in real life was a ALCO design, built in the Schenectady shop.....WELL upon looking at pictures of the real locomotive, it has a sort of specialized cab, the cab side windows, are "arched" like those seen on Reading locomotives.....I have a source for arched windows, BUT that's from the Bachmann Reading 2-8-0, with that comes an issue! The lower front cab corners are in-stepped for the large firebox width.....The cab I need has true 90 degree corners on all of them!

Would anyone HAVE a cab, they would be willing to trade, or sell to me, that fits the bill? OR parts that I can take and build the cab I'm trying to get?

BRASS WELCOME, and trading is encouraged, Also if you may have ANY of the Mantua 4-6-0, or 2-6-0, OR 4-8-0, type cylinders, slide valve type that are Mantua, I am interested as well! PLEASE PM me, or E-mail me with what you have, and pictures on this one will go along ways! I don't care if the paint is absolutely shot, it will be stripped, need a little work, again, I don't care, this is a long shot but, I got to try.....

THANKS for looking!

~John

Many have tried to, and failed, ya just can't repair stupid...

Do NOT try to Idiot-Proof anything!!!! God, will simply create a better......IDIOT!
