That's pretty awesome - I love the exploded pic of the cylinder parts. I think that may be the same type of loco that was used for the movie "The Polar Express"

What is "gauge 1", exactly? I'm assuming it's large scale, but at what ratio?

Hello,

wonderful engine ! I have heard of Aster hobbies, there once even was a 4-4-0 named "Reno", live steam and track 1 also. This one was scale 1:26 i think, but the problem is that there is no real G-scale, there is only G-gauge with 45 mm between the rails.

As i had to accept "G-scale" almost always means "Big Scale" or gardentrain scale, but nothing else.

So G-Scale can be 1:32 (representing normal gauge with 45mm track) to 1:20.5 (representing narrow gauge on 45 track), and there are a lot of companies offering different scales for G-gauge or "Scale".

www.mylargescale.com is s good resource fo those bigger trains, and they also have a live steam section.

Greetings,
Kai
