I remember when living in New Jersey, that I got yanked off the Jersey Turnpike by an eager young State Trooper. A State of Emergency had been declared by the Governor on account of almost 2" of snow having fallen in the previous hour! Once he saw my Ontario drivers License and my out of date Canadain Army ID he let me go on my way! [:D] [:D] [:D]

I believe I told him Canadians played football in snowshoes and that this was patio weather[:D] [:D] [:D]

Where i live in NC-schools and buisness start closing as soon as snow starts falling. Bread and milk disappear from grocery and convienience stores. They only plow main roads and there aren't many plows. Traffic comes to gridlock. Ice storms are very bad in this area and paralyze everything and knock power out. Our average snowfall for a winter is 6-8 inhes total-but we have recieved 12-14 inches at one time which is significant in my area. Northerners who move here in the summer are blown away when winter in the south hits as they are not accustomed to our way of dealing with snow and the ice they are not use to up north.

Down here in KY, you can drop a powdered donut in your driveway and cause a county-wide panic....

tsk, tsk... such a tragedy... to think some places are devoid of moisture... how else can the sky clean itself of pollutants? Oop's...

Hey, that looks like good, clean family fun!
...do they know what a snowman is? Perhaps they don't because it wouldn't be politically correct. Snow-person.

Sorry, I'm on a rant. ...and a roll.

Some places, a donut is that which an automobile makes when the driver is indecisive on which way to go.

off track... sorry.

John

I don't have a one track mind. It depends on the turn-out.

Is that a power-trip or just another pick-up line?

I most wholeheartedly agree that a boisterous automotive donut is the best kind ;)

'Specially those born in a virgin parking lot or lone road after a snow. Keeps me honest, and makes sure that my '97 RWD led-sled T-bird and I can still school all those poser soccer-mom SUVs when it counts [:O] [;)]

Here in Philadelphia 2 flakes put 20 flakes on the road trying to prove how tough their SUV's are since they haven't had a chance to play all year "look out, get out of my way, I have an SUV with all wheel drive and you are driving too slow" as they go driving by spraying slush and water all over everyboby and giving the 1 finger wave. Then if I'm lucky a couple of blocks down the road I'll see that fool stuck. I have an SUV and I don't drive that way,
