Guys,
I got a weird request.....Anyone have a complete kit, OR parts to the Belvedere Hotel? I'm working on using it, to make it, into a school! I have 2 kits, and I could use one more kit to make it a little bigger in size, to fit the space I'm building it for. NOW, don't get me wrong, its NOT one "tall" kit, I'm making a foot print that is like having 2 kits side to side, with alittle space between them, that will connect them, as the "office" to the school, the one side will be 3 or 4 floors high, the other will be one floor less! As the school itself, being off height, will add character BUT, also that less floor will give me parts to build the office space, for the main entrance.

PM me to let me know what you might have if anything and trade for what your looking for, OR price for the kit or parts that you might have! HELL, I'd even take 2 kits if I can find them!

I don't have one, but I wanted to say that the Belvedere has probably been used in more building kitbashes than anything else. It'll be just right for your school building.

Thanks Redwood! I got to looking at the actual model and yes, its kind of "odd" for a Hotel, even a Motel for that matter, to narrow of a building.....BESIDES, I got the Bachmann Plus "Grand Hotel" that will fit the placement of the hotel on my layout so.....Much better proportioned building for the purpose!

I do plan to draw up a foot print to give an idea on how this going to look as I have the kits in mind, from the 2 kits I have so I got a pretty good idea on how its going to be done!

But, I do agree with this building being used for other then a Hotel.......Its decent brick work with molded in window castings AKA = less work! In a short order!

Well another update. I have located yet another one of these for my school project, AND a second floor to the Bank I planned to build from 3 of these kits!

Thanks everyone for the intent to locate one more of them!

Congrats on finding another one. They are good kits.

One thing that I have done in the past with kitbashes is to make several photocopies of the walls. I just lay the walls flat in a photocopier (or scanner) and print a bunch of copies. Then I cut the photocopies to mimic the plastic cuts I would make, and scotch tape them together, just to see how the new building would look and fit. When I'm happy with the paper result, I do the actual kitbash.

Thomas,
I normally have a pretty good thought on how I plan to make something within the confines of my own head....Normally, those thoughts, and ideas come out as planned, not always but most of the time.....

This school I'm building already has its 2 extra floors on it.....I'll have to get "new" pictures of it!
