Cool little diesel switcher, Frank.
Nice Hudson, and considering its age, it is in fabulous shape! Love those white-wall drivers.

Me too. I love those white walls. The only thing that's actually damaged on the loco was, as I mentioned, one of the driver rims came off of the white wall and I had to superglue that back on (it was surprisingly easy and hasn't come off since). Also, most of the cowcatcher is missing. The part you see in the photo is just what I was able to find in the package. Those parts do tend to be very fragile. Otherwise, yeah, she's in relatively good shape for being 65-66 years old.

Well, at least you fixed it up as best as possible. And I agree - it looks great despite its age!

I also just purchased a replacement cowcatcher part from Ebay, and it should be arriving within the next week or so. Once it gets here, I'll put it on this lovely loco, and then it will look as good as new!

I really like the lines, the color, of this Gilbert piece. All Gilbert postings as of late have been chumming my waters. However, seller politely informs that the axle gears are cracked. Another paper weight I do not need. Is that a common issue with these older Gilberts? Yeah, huh?
