Does anyone have a Pittman DC60 or Pittman DC70 motor for sale? Need it for Varney Casey Jones steamer.

As long as you know that the DC Pittman will NOT work where a plastic japanese motor was installed.
It will fit. It will bolt down. But the gears are totally different.
I can take a photo of each if you need to see the difference.

I may have a plastic end Japanese knock off, taken out of one I backdated with the fine gears and DC60. The plastic end was broken.
If yours is good, and you can solder to remove and re-install worm, I'll go looking for it.

This should give you a graphic of the gearing. You can not mix gears. Period.
If you don't know how to change them, ask Dan to install proper gear before he sends you a motor.
Coarse worm on DC60 will work, last I checked. I think the shaft diameter is the same.

That DC60 is bad...well, the Varney F-3 spring belt drive armature was bad, so they got swapped. I keep this one for the one spare brush, brushplate, and magnet.
The Japanese knockoff is out of my latest 2-8-0 project.
I really, really like Varney locomotives.
