Memory....anyway, there are three BN cars, all same number, but one is totally different, not only in font, but doors.

Top photo, the three BN units on the left, apparently the bottom two are Tycos. I'll try again to see if there are any markings on the other one. Dave

More reefers. I think that most are Tyco, absolutely no identification on the bottom, except the two on the right column, bottom two, which are Athearn. Dave

Bottom photo with the Wilson, Swift and D&RGW are late Varney, or Life-Like. No markings I can find. Always puzzling to me, in various scales, where the manufacturer isn't proud enough of his product to put his name on it. OTOH, maybe it costs more, who knows! Dave

That's true of plastic. My metal Athearn (another photo thread for another day) were a letter and 3 numbers, like A-178 for a NYC Pacemaker boxcar. Some catalogs are A178. They did not seem to be consistent back then. Also, back before, oh, 1950 or 51, maybe a bit later, there were no numbers of letters in the catalog. I guess you ordered by description, eh? Dave
