I decided to dig into the boxes in the basement. Some have buildings, some track, one has power packs, this one had some reefers, boxcars, tank cars, stock cars, and some maintanence equipment. I used to know what they all were...some I know are Tyco, some Varney, some AHM. Didn't see any Bachmann names on them. Anyway, first of six, I think, and this one is tanks:

It's actually a good thing. I have inventory lists of the stuff I keep. Now I have photos not only to go with those lists, but photos of the non-keepers (going back to the nephew some day...when he finally gets a place of his own.....). When he was younger, a lot younger, we would peruse shows, grab junk boxes, put cars together again.....and folks would give us boxes and boxes of stuff. I have so many power packs it's not even funny. Some are those old Tyco sliding lever in the side of the case, some are good sized green Fleishmann, the one I am keeping for sure is a KF Industries, Model CF-700. Big, copper coloured dual pack. Looks like an MRC, but predates them by a long shot, from what I've been able to find out. Dave
