When I open up a topic, the author section is very wide and I have to scroll over to see the pictures. This happened after I posted a picture in COTW. How do I fix this?

One of the contributers has their pic in a format that won't resize with the site's system. You'll know which picture by it's lack of a red border. When you click on those, they revert to their original format size.

Even on this thread with no pictures, the author part is at least half screen. It never was like that. When I am looking at the list of forums, I do not have to move to the right to read them. It has to be something with the format. I must have did something.

You're bran-new. Do some written/typed posts to raise your "profile points/stars."
Or is it with how many postings because you are quite new?
That's my second observation.

John

I don't have a one track mind. It depends on the turn-out.
"I love your catenary!"
Is that a power-trip or just another pick-up line?
