Well it was a good show. I seen Pete there. He has a couple of nice Tyco GP-20s. Cant tell you what they are, it is his find. Nelson said he would be there. We didn't run into each other today.

The one on the right is Gilbert. the left one is Revell. 4-8-0c is by Prescision Scale.

I was probably there a little later than you, Frank. Jack & co. from the MR Shop were selling off a customer's huge collection there, and I bought two cabeese from them. I got NIB Roundhouse NYC RS-3 kit for $15 (Athearn made but very smooth runners when lubed, and geared lower than Blue Box locos), plus a few junkers for parts at a buck or two apiece. I got a Lionel Husky in Rock Island for $1, and it has no breaks and both horns!

There were many good deals to be had, but I limited myself to keep the inventory down.

I was surprised that about half the show was railroadiana and literature. Being run by the historical society, I guess there's a larger demand for that than at other shows that are more model-focused.

Frank, that Camelback is gorgeous. How much did she set you back?

* Hi Nelson. I noticed a lot of good prices. With me the brass camelback kept me buying anything else. I got it for $200. Did you see the Athearn trainmasters in CNJ and Reading. The way the boxes are labeled they are factory painted. I didn't know about them. I suspect that they are done by Bev-Bel for Athearn. They were only $20. each. I got one of each and there were 4 left after my purchase.
* About the show there were always a lot of railroad items for sale at that show. Also books and photos. There was no shortage of HO trains. I picked up a large photo of a CNJ I4 2-8-0 camelback for reference in my current kitbash project.
* I am glade you enjoyed it

Frank, I saw some TM's in EL and they were $35, IIRC. The ones in Reading and CNJ must have sold quick. One table was selling nicely custom painted pairs of SD40's -- one powered, one dummy -- for $20. It was a great deal but they weren't in roads I wanted.

I almost sprung for a Hobbytown RS3 in EL colors, but with a home road name for $20. It was nicely done and was in great shape. The lettering started with "BO," so I asked what it stood for. The guy said he was selling it for a friend, and he called his pike the "Badly Operated" something or other.

I thought it might have been bad breath or Body Oder. Went to charlies house helped our a bit and got some cars today. I'll post them in Watz Goin on ! Best 2 are a Athearn metal 50' round roof doubledoor Seaboard in its old box, and a Varney metal box car, the original brass one assembled but not decorated. The rest are some Lionel freights 5 of them, Kroenberg beer, a cox trailer, a Varney B&O hopper that is badly messed up, A old CB&Q FT for parts, and a TM N&W box car also badly weathered for parts.
