I haven't browsed the Model Power site in a while, and they don't have much in their parts category anymore, but they do have packages of 30 replacement brake wheels in 3 different styles.

Will they fit the small holes on Tyco cars?

Some appear to have small pins on them. If they are too large, just drill out the hole.

Actually based on center hubs and the profile of the grab and spokes, those do in fact look like all 3 genuine Tyco brake wheels: the brass ones from the Little Trains / Bluebox era, the standard plastic one, and the version that mounts to a vertical wire (for flat cars, old-time cars, and bobbers).
Great find! I'm amazed the brass ones are still available. I'll bet someone finally unearthed a box that had been buried in Woodbury for a few decades...

Wow... I guess we'd better order before they're gone.
Edit: Whoa! $9 S&H?!! They're not worth that much to me.

Man, shipping has really killed the viability of lots of products lately, both as a buyer and seller. ebay is no better.
Shame too, because we both know you could probably cram that stuff in a padded mailer for 2 bucks, but I bet Model Power's overhead won't provide for non-standard one-off shipment processing.

I really hate it when companies only have flat rate shipping. I suppose it's a savings if you have a large or heavy order, but it makes small parts orders prohibitive. For someone like John it might be worth it to order in bulk since he has a business, but not for the average customer.

I tried asking for those break wheels yesterday from the Model Power headquarters a few towns over in Farmingdale, and the guy at their store had no idea that they were selling brake wheels. I guess it's out of their midwest warehouse.
Brakewheels and other small parts are always too darn expensive. Athearn brakewheels for instance, are a dollar each in a set of 6. Screw rr safety, I can't afford brakewheels for each and every car!

It seems to go up a buck for each set ordered for S/H. Gotta order a LOT of them. Apparently they have no idea how to weigh anything.

| I think I can order brake wheels from MP, and get them sent to the warehouse in Farmingdale with the next transfer shipment, I may not have to pay S&H. I'll let ya'll know how that goes tomorrow.
