Wishing EVERYONE a Happy Thanksgiving today. For me -i it is about being with family -not out shopping for the best deal -that is not what Thanksgiving is about. ?I think it is really sad that stores are open today.

First- Happy Thanksgiving to all of you!
Second- I stopped by a Best Buy store yesterday, where several dozen people were literally camped out, with tents, waiting for their "big deal" on black friday.
Couldn't help but comment to my lovely and talented daughter, who was with me, that these yokels are missing the whole point of the holiday! Its not what you are waiting for, its what you have already to be thankful for. Unfortunately, that seems to be the focus these days- the deal being superior to the meal!
Third- remember those who have nothing and our service members who go without, for the benefit of the rest of us.

Black Friday is such a scam. You can get deals just as good later in the season when retailers start marking things down without having to camp out or fight crowds.
