Is it ok to use old transformers for powering accesories?  I have ALOT of them & IF I ever do that I'd make sure that all the transformers are on a Power Strip to turn them off when not in use

| i sure do. Have my lighted houses on the variable D C so i can adjust light intensity depending on the time of day and switches on the constant D C
|

Yes, they are good for that! I myself, use old Computer power supplies that have had there 4 VDC used for lighting and then the 12 VDC used for variable lighting that have been wired to Reostats, to adjust intensity as well......
