Here is my AOTW. It is some of my HO scale heavy construction equipment. I have several more tucked away in storage including a few more steam shovels including the one shown below.

Someday I might have a nice layout... if I ever have the time to actually construct one.

I also got to say that orange "line" excavator is AWESOME, any idea what the maker is of it?

John!
I love that tractor and crate load! I have a few more of the scrapers and dumps. Some are chained down to flat cars, just like your tractor. Nice job in that by the way!
I do not know the maker of the excavator. It is all metal and looks to be a kit of some sort. It is not articulated in any way. I can say, it came with the cars you see in the background, plus several other cars for ~$20 inc s/h. A steal if you ask me.

Sean, THANKS for the compliments! I'll be doing more loads kinda sorta like these as I am an open load kind of guy I guess!
As for the one you see that I did... thats actual "Holt" gray! Let me tell ya, a touch up color such as that, is only gotten for the "Holt" tracked tractor collectors in 1:1 scale.....I paid for it, let me tell you!
History lesson? Holt, is the original "caterpillar", which is better known as "CATERPILLAR" or "CAT" these days......The company was owned by the Holt family, back in the day and I think they are still involved. Generations of family....later, that is!

Since I started this one a week early (date wise) I'll add another one which is a continuation to my post from a few weeks ago. I just acquired a Kemtrom work train addition. This one is the load that goes on top of the power unit as shown in the Kemtron catalog pic below. It is the one with the heavy load casting:

Here is the one coming:

Just added to my AOTW:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=261115394336
I just purchased this lot tonight. This one has the power unit. It is powered by the Lindsay KL-766 Teaspoon of power (Kemtron catalog #)
This is the same power unit that drives the Kemtron Toonerville trolley. I have one with a busted drive. This is the reason I purchased this lot actually, but I may for the time being keep them together.

These are my Toonerville trollies:

As you can see here, it has a broken drive:

I just picked up a USPS car (no Post Office - I need one) on eBay last week. I love the operating action. I also picked up a jumping brakeman kit. Once I get them on the layout, I'll figure out how they work and will be certainly doing more work with operating cars and accessories. These are just fun!
Thanks for posting the video.
