This is gonna take a while Anyways I'd like to see what your absolute favorite locomotive of all time in your collection is right now! I did a similar topic many months ago about your favorite RARE locomotive but now just favorite in general! Lets see them photos! Alright here's mine, a 90s MDC-Roundhouse 2-8-0 former kit, painted in the Rare David Lee's Circus name the second I saw it on ebay I knew I'd do whatever it took to make it mine! purchased on ebay for $50, NIB, NEVER started! It's been a challenge to put together but it does run very well and just needs new main rods, originals crosshead pin broke but a trade deal with John (Em-1) is in the works to aquire new 2-8-0 main rods!
here she is, this photo was from 8/31/12 she was the VEY last locomotive removed from my old layout before it was torn apart.
I buy, repair, and collect http://scvr.weebly.com/ http://seyboldlocomotiveworks.weebly.com/ http://www.youtube.com/user/TheDeputation?feature=watch Hyde.

The problem is with this topic... I have the affliction you see... I have too many favorites! It really depends on the day and what I am looking at.
I have a hard time picking from a menu at a restaurant and you want me to chose a favorite in my collection??!! That is not an easy task! You see, I really have a thing for the early Varney and Mantua locomotives so I have a bunch of each. I have two Varney locomotives that are superbly super detailed. One is a Super Consolidation and the other is a Economy Pacific. The Consol even has full backhead details added. ...But then there is the brass streamlined sand cast 4-6-2 Pacific B&O steam locomotive with full passenger car consist I have waiting for restoration in my imaginary backshops. I have all the early pre-war Mantua brass locos and the post war brass & diecast locomotives... including the special order only Mantua Mountain Mechanism kit which NEVER had a boiler produced for it (as far as I have see so far).
Then there is the brass pieces I have had a good friend restore for me. There is the Kosmos Timber Company's #11 HO Brass standard gauge 2-6-6-2 - # 37 of only 208 units made. ..Then there is the Samhongsa - Korea 4-6-6-4 NP Z-8 Challenger that went under a complete reconstruction involving another Sam articulated locomotive. Then there is my 2 fully restored Tenshodo Brass 4-8-8-4 Big Boys - Signature Series Locomotive and the custom painted later version. I can not forget the Westside Models #966 shop locomotive 001 or any of the logging locos... The shay, the Heisler and the Climax! The HOn3 4-6-0 Brass 10-Wheeler Southern Pacific No. 9 Locomotive by United Models - Restored as well! Geese.. I forgot the Winton brass 2-6-6-6 Allegheny and the two Toonerville trollies!
You're killing me here! LOL!
I'll have to go with the HO Scale All Brass Schrader New Haven EP-4 Electric Pantogragh Locomotive. I love my New Haven locomotives! Just be aware.. I might change my mind here in a few minutes!
