Havent seen a Building Of the Week for over a month! Just purchased this new Atlas 3 stall roundhouse kit off Amazon! Assembled it same day! I have SO many detail parts that I can add. Right now all I'm concerned with is making sure the bare minimum is great! Eventually when placed on my new layout all the details will be added! Layout construction will start in a week or 2 so gotta make sure everything's ready for the new layout! What's funny is on the planned 5X9 there will be 4 shops and a this 3 stall roundhouse! Boy do I love shop facilities!
roofs are NOt glued down so I can access the locomotives that will go inside and so I can add detail
test fitting engines! perfectly fits all my 2-6-0s and with the doors open can fit my Mantua 2-8-2 camelback!

I have a friend that glued the roof on the roundhouse. Found it was a bad idea when the loco derailed in it. :) I have the one you do and left the roof off also.

All my shops have removable roofs for access to the insides. I don't see why anyone would glue them down. Anyways nice buildings everyone!!

Cheez- that is a very nice little model, so now I'm looking for one to place on my small switching layout as a space saver. Very nice, indeed. thanks for the inspiration.
Ben- I can see the roof of that truck terminal being aluminum or silver, but why is the ramp also silver? Combining that with it's being so sharply rounded, it would seem that tractors would have a hard time aligning their trailers.

Thanks Ron It's a pretty basic model, but a little time and some paint can do wonders! I also put some clear plastic and black paper in the windows. This is how it looks out of the box:

Cheez-
I found one on EBay: $10.00 and free shipping!
That would work as a suburban station, as well as a small town whistlestop one.
LED lighting and some exterior details- perhaps a waiting bench and such as improvements.
Is the roof a separate piece?

Hey Ron. That is a good deal! The roof, windows, and walls on mine were all separate pieces. Detailing is a breeze
