This forum may not be the best place to try and find a part for a brass loco but nothing ventured, nothing gained. It's the right pilot step that is needed for this HO engine. I have included a photo of what is needed. Just click on the link.

Dick,
Thats gonna be a difficult one to find! (I been looking for an R class B&M sand dome for about 2 years now....)

You a member of the "The Brass Backshop" forums?

I may be able to make such a part tho, in brass!

I was thinking the same thing.
Possibly by reshaping a brass tender step and wrapping that with some brass strap.

Dick, you have any brass tender steps? I can get right on making that pretty easily.....As I have the tender steps in brass if you need it ASAP!

Hi John,
Fancy meeting you here 8-). Thanks for the inputs. There's only one problem...this person , absolutely, will not accept anything short of an exact replica of that step. John I do have PSC brass steps but it would be a waist of my time to try to cob up something that would not be acceptable. This is why I was hoping to find someone with a pilot taken off one of these engines that would be willing to part with a right hand step. In fact the owner of this engine told me that if he can't find one of these steps that he will take the other step off and go to another version of this step since the B&M did revise the pilot, once or twice. Thanks for your offer though, but I don't want to get you off on another project that would interfere with the molding of those cylinder chests that I am anxiously waiting for (hint, hint)...ducking for cover! (Heh,heh).
Dick
P.S. I did try to join the Brass Backshop and I can see my info in their members file but so far I have not been able to sign in.
